I had 2 pump in the tank. 0,5 bar 120l per minuter each one. But one pump died. I drive now without pumps. You think pump in the tank must have higher l/h. I think about higher pressure pump but with pressure regulator... Does petrol pump survive with diesel.

If the VE's need to pull their own fuel, then it is going to suffer at higher RPM's.

So is the combined pumps making (before it quit) 1.0 bar and 240l per minute? Or making .5 bar and 240l min?

For reference, we typically run 1-1.3 bar of pressure. The higher pressure helps keep the fuel fed into the case. The 12mm can, and does, drain the case pressure where it fills the rotor. So higher pressure and flow helps to not drain it.

Petrol pumps may or may not hold up. However, a good Walbro does. I prefer the GS392 Walbro. The 044 should hold up.

Very helpfull, i bought now 220l/h fuel pump i think it will help. Change thos 495 springs into 410 high rpm springs and camplate into de143. i saw that pump rotate very softly , much more softly that on de110 and 495 springs. I set new KF value for 410 springs so maybe i must make them hughs and kisses more  hehe strange translate
It rotate like Td pumps does.
And what i saw in esitronic pump is that 11mm with de143 have one shim less under the plunger in roterhead. So maybe i must tightened those 410 springs much more. ( this shim have 1,0 or 1,6mm there are two of them , but 11mm have only one ).

hm maybe i buy second one 220l/h pump

Sounds like it should help.

Is this for a VW TDi? Or VW IDI?

It is for TDi but someone says that Timing from 11mm pump don't like pressure higherthan 0,5 bar in fuel inline.

I have pushed 20psi, or 1.5bar in my rigs. My brother pushed 1.0 bar in his ALH TDI with the 10mm pump.

I think the 1 piece solid ones are the most durable

The ALH TDi's use the VE to draw fuel from the tank. Sure looks to me like another lift pump would be of use. The Carter 4601 is diesel rated, and has survived nearly a half decade in my 1990.

Listening closely as I'd love to build a 12mm pump for my ALH. I sold an engine to a guy who was just putting a 3.9 pump on his to get the 12mm pump head. No need for high rpm in *MY* app...but a solid increase in fuel between 2k5 and 3k5 would sure help justify spending on a bigger turbo...LOL those things are as bad as owning cummins-es for a drain on the entertainment budget.
cheers,
Douglas
