Okay so. I had The Tacoclaw machine my 351 exhaust housing out to hx35 size. I put a rebuild kit in the 351 (still not sure about the lip on the exhaust side But I'll try it.)

I have a question.... When put the center together you have to put the compressor side together then the exhaust side?? correct?? The compressor wheel when torqued down sets preload on everything??

Reason I ask is, when I put it together I can't get the turbine wheel all the way in. If I leave the oil seal plate off the front I have enough clearance to to spin it.
92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.
85 D350 single wheel, converted to cummins, getrag, turned up 2 turns and afc screw flush.

Okay so Apparently lack of sleep from the holidays and traveling isn't the best time to put a turbo together...I think I figured it out. I'll report back later.
92 D350 Cab and Chassis. Auto stock, wiring gremlins. 330k miles
92 W250 Ext cab rotted completely out. Auto, pump maxed, 215 ppump nozzles, Denny T2 pin.

The best time for complex, mechanical assembly is when you're drunk. 8)

It won't work unless I machine the exhaust housing. the exhaust side of the center is different hight than the hx and it allows the turbine wheel to stick out to much. I assembled the cw center with the hx comp wheel and it spins and looks like that part should work. But when I drop it into the exhaust housing the turbine wheel hits. I haven't put the band clamp on, because A) I forgot it down home, and B) theres no way it clears. I think its close but I'm not sure how close.
