Yep, it fits a beat up ol' 1st gen I guess. Maybe when I rebuild the engine, I'll try and sand it down or something???????/ But for now, I'm not taking it back off. My turbo is PITA to take off with the way it is clocked and the I/c piping.

Perhaps you could blast the manifold clean with some glass-bead media while it's off?

Ya, that'd probably work.... Hopefully it doesn't come off for a few years yet.

Eric, what did you have for a manifold before?
#1, They give you those long bolts and sleeves to allow for the expansion of the manifold. 24 valve trucks and a lot of the newer equipment is set up with them.
#6, It probably flows a lot better. Most of the aftermarket manifolds flow about 38-40 cfm better than the stocker.
#8, It flows better! Gets the exhaust out of the way faster.

X2 on the pics when you get a chance!

I had the stocker.... expansion, huh? Ok, I think it is a retarded way of doing it... but perhaps that's why I don't make manifolds

So, just changed my oil. Didn't see the point of filling that much back up.

I've had the blue extra concentrated dish soap soaking on everything (and I do mean everything) for the last 6 or so hours. Tomorrow I'm gonna take it down to the local car wash that allows a good engine degrease (their stuff is the bomb) and see if I can't get her off. ;) Then maybe some installed pics.

Might want to scrub the manifold with a brush and some water before you start it. Or you could have a soap stain too. ;)

I agree on the retarded way to do it, but isn't that why engineers get the big bucks? To justify their existence?

I'm sorry but the prices of these manifolds are insane to me. I know I'm a cheap ass but dam. Its hard enough for me to justify $350 for a three piece I found.

I got a 3 piece from endurance for a lil over 200 I believe. 350 is cheep compared to a steed speed or stainless.

I'm not taking pictures.... it's just too embarrassing it looks like the Valdez oil spill under there.

Price - I personally couldn't agree more. If you ask around, I almost always recommend the DPS 3-pc manifold (and I'm not even a dealer for them), it is specifically made for a 12 valve AND is the most affordable. However, it doesn't do me or my customers any good if I don't run what I carry. For the AVERAGE driver, the stainless steel manifold is completely unnecessary. But for folks trying to squeeze the last little bit and keeping all of the dd capability out of the rig, some things just need to be tried. Otherwise we won't know if it was/is worth it.
