Dual feed injectors

Postby ford69557ci » Thu Nov 22, 2007 12:36 pm

I am thinkin about tryin some dual feeds on my quest for power. I know alot of the p pump guys use them and they move alot of fuel but would the work good with the VE? Seems like the key to ve power is a good injector so i guess i am goin to try and get a set made up.

Dual feed injectors is not the same thing as dual feed to the injection pump. Dual feed injectors have 2 feed holes in the nozzle and body to the pintle, rather than just 1.

Do you think the VE would flow enough to make them worthwhile?

The only dual feeds I've ever heard of are 5x20's or larger on P-pumps built for sled pulling...

you already have the big injector lines you really think you need dual feed injectors, what you should prbaly do is change the ends of your injector lines to 2cd gen and get second gen injectors and reduce the pop pressure

What would be the advantage of using 2nd gen injectors?

I thought about dual feed injectors for a twin-VE'd truck, but I don't think a single VE will require dual feed injectors. Maybe some modifications to the injector body to flow better, but I think dual feed would be a bit excessive.

I do want to wish you luck on your high-HP VE quest though; I'd be trying to compete if I wasn't in college.
