please help customer problem

Ok so my customer comes in has a pile of parts. The truck is a 91.5 reg cab 4x4. One of the parts he brought was a BD super BEE turbo (obviously made for 2nd gen upgrade) 58 64 are the posted specs for it. I told him a hx35 would be a much better turbo for him. Buthe insisted. The truck has BD fuel pin, pump to head, about a full turn off run away 120k miles no blowby stock injectors. 3200 gov spring.

I romp and push the thing hard it isnt boosting over 8 to 10 psi it sounds like it is spooling but really no surge of power. Egt got up to around 1000. It's an auto truck I'm not sure if I'm expecting to much from an auto (won't load up like my 2nd gen stick hx35 and 5x11s) so is 64 just to big for stock injectors?

Need would like insite before work tomorrow thanks Zeth

Are you get lift pressure to the pump? Sounds like a fuel and boost problem to me.

Check AFC for leaks.... make sure it is getting boost. Maybe "paint" the fuel pin.

A BD super b turbo is not too big... in fact it is a much better turbo, all the way around over an hx35. It will spool WAY faster than the stock turbo.
