VE timing???

Postby hassy21 » Sat Nov 24, 2007 2:19 am

I am going to be putting in a 3200 gov. spring and remove my afc lever and I was wondering how to advance the timing on the pump? How much should I go? Is there some detailed instuctions on how to advance the timing?

the ksb advance is somethin i dont think you want to run all of the time. to advance the pump loosen the ip and move it an 1/8 to 1/4" towards the head mines at a quarter and seems to be good but my friends truck like the 1/8" better just depends on the truck.

The KSB is about 7*. Not what you want to run all the time. I am going to wire mine to my valet switch, see what happens. ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

I moved mine the 1/8, timing is now at 1.65mm, not sure what this is in degrees. I don't know what it was before, but when I get a chance, I'm going to put the gauge back in, and twist the pump to see what stock was, what 1/4 is, etc. Just to get an idea how much timing is when the pump is where. I may mark several spots so I can change timing with out the gauge.
