Yeah. After the pump pulses the pressure in the line drops. With bigger lines that pressure drop becomes more noticeable (engine lopes) as the pulse takes longer to repressureize the line. At least that's my understanding of how someone explained it

What "squish"? Rule #1 of hydraulics, fluids don't compress, that's how hydraulic systems work. ;)

They don't compress but once the injector fires you have a drop in pressure and then fill time. Take a straw fill your mouth with water put your finger over the straw and blow as hard as you can then remove your finger for a split second and cover the straw again. You will feel the drop in pressure and the fill time.

Also in the world of hydraulics its all a closed system. Meaning if you want to use a cylinder the fluid going into the base end is dead headed no where to go. In an engine its more of a semi open system where it builds pressure till it releases and then repressureize\refill.

Ok, I see where you are going. The bigger lines deliver more fuel, but in your application because of bleed off it causes the lope due to the refill time.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

So since its been slow on this site I'll dig this one up.

Do you have it done or are you waiting on larger lines?

I'm not going to run larger lines..... I was going to have a builder put it together for me, as the "donor" pump is blown to bits. But seeing is how there was going to be like a fifty billion month wait time... I'm just going to do it myself.

It'll either run or not within a week (hopefully). I have everything back to me as of today.

I have a parts pump that I take apart and put back together to get a better understanding on how it work. The head and rotor look simple to swap but I've never had to put it back together and make it run. Good luck, take pictures I'll post them for you if needed.

Yea, the h/r part is super easy when comparing to taking an entire pump apart and eye balling to see if things look good or not.

Update....

Everything is here and ready to go together. However, due to it being so close to hunting season... I'm just not risking the downtime.

It will be done around the first of October.
