Quality Injector builders

Postby dazedandconfused » Sun May 25, 2014 8:19 am

There are a bunch of threads on Injectors around here. I've heard of issues with Schied injectors from a few local guys and a few on here. I'm trying to see who is having issues out of their injectors and where they are coming from. I'm looking at finally doing injectors next spring and trying to find the cleanest best quality injectors without spending a blue million dollars.

Having talked to Lee, and because I like his attitude over other builders, Contagious Diesel gets my vote. The guy with the 24v Riviera loves his injectors in his 24v.

Find them on Facebook. They're out of WI.

Yeah I've heard some good things from them. I also have a handful of buddies who love their DFI injectors. One loves them so much he has offered to buy a set for my truck and if I like the. I can pay him back and if not he will keep them.

I've split two (2) of the Schied 6x16s (NOT to suggest the Schied product is inferior. The 6x16 may just suck that way).

What's you ultimate power goal? Cleanliness an big issue? MPG?

EDIT: I did make good power with them though. Hazed at idle.

Right now Im just looking for something that doesn't haze like hell all the time. I don't mind controlling smoke under throttle but don't want it to sit puking smoke like some I've seen. My stock sticks are tired at 450,000 and just looking for a mild replacement to start.

A quality, mild replacement... "215" tip (5x10 vco) or 5x11 SAC. Would keep you in the $425 range and would be a "25-40hp" upgrade.

Another vote for Chris Luttrell @ DFI! He was trained by Weston Shupe "Smokem"

I have some of his 5x14's going into Tweeder Style this week Andy, I was trying to hold off until I got my twins installed but Chris is in need of cores and I've put it off long enough.

Am I understanding you correctly that 215HP 2nd generation injectors are 5x10?

5x10.5 to be exact... Some say 5x10.25.... it's one of them (not like that'll make a difference).

Quality injectors, I would go with RC (Hungry Diesel) he knows injectors for VE's like no one else.
Cheap injectors, go with DAP or ebay

I second (or whatever) the hungry diesel. My conversation with Eric was like 5 minutes long, but I learned some valuable information
