I've heard that removing the edge filters could be bad since it breaks up little particles before they enter the body, and the gains are minimal. Is there a big enough advantage to remove the edge filters?

As I understand it, Yes removing them will hurt most all VE owners since we suffer from such low injection rates. BUT that's just what I was told I have no first hand experience yet..

I don't know what I dyno at, but I have a 12mm VE and run injectors with no edge filters, pintle work, and return hole work. They seem to do fine with no crazy adverse effects. But, as I said, never been on a dyno so I may only be pushing 268 horse.

I've ran injectors with and without edge filters. I honestly don't know if I can tell much of a difference. I feel sometimes it hurts it, and others I feel it helps. If anything, it'll shorten the injection event slightly. On the up side.. you can save the body, if a bunch of crap gets thrown into the injector.
