Messin' with the AFC

Postby RCCUMMINS89 » Sat May 31, 2014 3:50 pm

Ok.... so, I decided to mess with the AFC today and cut back zero boost fueling as much as I possibly could.

If one flips over the AFC top and looks at where the afc lever hits the housing itself..... Right there the housing can be ground back at least a 1/4".

IMPORTANT FUTURE NOTE: .157" is the diameter of the stock slide pin..... a 5/32" drill bit is .15625"..... close enough  .

Doing the above, my new slide pin is a full 1/4" longer than the longer slide pin that I sell on the site. Or 1/4" + .5mm longer than stock.

Result.... it helped, but it is still not anywhere near enough for my heap.

What's the purpose of a longer slide pin? Just less over all fuel?

Less zero boost fueling. Custom grinding the fuel pin, can still give full fueling. So in short, it allows you more afc control.
