On a low boost setup that should work just fine, but I wouldn't expect that bend to hold much pressure before blowing out.

Do you say that because it is silicone and not some kind of metal? Or do you say that because of the source I will be ordering it from?

Because it is a 90 degree elbow of Silicone. Not saying anything bad about the source at all.......but now that you mention it, I had a hard time keeping their boost in their place.

For your current setup, just run the silicone 90.

The website says those silicone pieces are good up to 200psi bursting pressure and 50 psi operating pressure as well as -40*F and +392*F.

I've bought quite a few pieces from Silicone Intakes and had very good luck with them. I'm using an adapter 90* in between my turbos and some straight pieces on the high pressure side, which are seeing 40-50 psi on a constant basis.

Thank you for that first hand knowledge. So from what you are saying, the silicone 90 should be fine?

Yup, love my SIS stuff. I've ran their 90*s right after the turbo many times.

Keep it below 60psi, that's as far as I've tested them.

I agree, that 90 will be fine at your power level. Just make sure you clean the surfaces you are mounting on with brake cleaner or something to remove any oil so it won't blow off. No use tempting fate, right? ;)

Like I said, I've got nothing bad to say about their products. A silicone 90 though I wouldn't expect to handle NEARLY what they claim. Their stuff isn't nearly like the high boost BD stuff.

I've blown several "100+psi" boots in my day with roughly half of their rating. Yet, I've had flippin' 12psi rated radiator hose hold 50.

I will be picking up my second gen intercooler today. I plan to mount it in front of the AC condenser. I know I will probably not be able to run the stock grille, but never fear, I own and run a CNC Plasma table. I worked up this proof this morning of what my new grille will look like. The grille part will be powdercoated A silver color and the letter will be black like on the proof. The letters will be bolted to the grille with blind studs. I will then be able to make brackets on the back to space the new grille out as far as I need it, and bolt it on. What does everyone think?

Looks cool to me! IMO you should put a mesh of some kind on it. It will be a little more background for the black and protect the IC too.

I think I will do that. Maybe some aluminum or stainless mesh. On another note, I installed the Beans Diesel fuel tank sump today with -6 fittings and stainless braided line. I ended up having to drop the tank. You should have seen the 25 years of SHIT collected on the pickup screen. I'm surprised the truck ran at all. I'd say a combination of the bigger fuel line, no restricted pickup screen and the sump, the old girl runs WAY better now. It runs like a truck instead of a tractor. I will get pics of the install tomorrow. It was late and I was covered in diesel.
