The one thing I've found out through my years...anything is possible through fabrication. The only way to make it happen is to buy the part, put it on... and figure out what the heck needs to happen to make it work again.... because remember...ANYTHING is possible through fabrication.

Hit that submit button!

If it were me,and it was my project....I'd take the adapter to a vice, and with a cut off wheel I'd split it nearly all the way around the 4" side. Right at the spot it drops in to 3". When I say nearly,I mean leave enough metal attached for a pivot point that shouldn't break off. That would suck.
Th n I'd mount my turbo, and the adapter.....then bend the 3" side to an acceptable angle, then remove the adapter and have someone (if I didn't have a mig welder) to weld it back up. After it was whole again,I'd take a carbide bit to the outside and inside to smooth it back out.

Clear as a Mississippi body of water. But yes, I know exactly what you mean.

Ahhh. ok ok ok. @RC I can feel ya on the fab part. @ellis thanks for enlightening me. Really. Angling the adapter as described may give me enough to keep my EB. Who knows until I try? A decision ensues......
