What's the best turbo for our trucks? Hx35-40? Or s300?

Depends on your goals and setup.

Do you have a hp/tq goal? What injectors do you plan on using? Do you tow/haul? What elevation do you live at? Is it hilly or flat? If you do tow, how heavy? Auto or manual? What gear ratio? What tire size? How fast do YOU expect the spool up? What year is the truck?


Sorry for all of the questions, but all of these questions play a part in which turbo will best suit your needs and expectations.

Around 300 to 350hp/ and not really sure about injectors yet/ tow from 3 to 5 thousand pounds maybe more sometimes/
Elevation is 963 feet above sea level/ hilly and flat / automatic/ 3.73/ 285/75/r16/ spool time umm it would be nice if it was almost instant / year 93

For a 300-350hp goal..... HE351CW if you want used, Super B (S300G) if you want new.

I'd match a set of 5x12 VCO injectors with either choice.

No, egts will not be a problem at that power level.

500hp range (most a 12 mm ve has put out is 488).

But 62fmw. FANTASTIC turbo. It is what I run on my truck.

On a side note, we are having a great sale going on right now.... also potential for a set of free injectors.

62fmw.... and 72-80lpm injectors.... and pump tuning will give you about max power from a 12mm ve.

No, bolts right in place.... just needs an hx40 style downpipe.
