Lift pump will come first for sure.

I know this all a rough guess, but does anybody have an idea of what this setup, tuned properly, could make for horsepower/ torque? I understand its not definitive but some people I have talked to are expecting numbers a little higher then what I was thinking.

A std. 5x16.... 400-425, depending on the dyno.

That's about the area I was aiming for, well I was aiming for usability with horsepower as an added benefit.

It is a good over all set up. The reason I said "std. 5x16" is I've yet to see a set of 5x16s put down larger than about 420. Most are well below that.

The key to making "big" power in a ve is 2 things.... timing (including the curve) and injectors. There are little tricks in order to help burn the fuel in the lower rpm with our lowered injection pressure by running the size of stick that we need to move the fuel.

Just want to thank everyone for the advice. I'm hoping to have a little shop time and space freed up Sunday, if I do I will let you guys know what I've came up with.

Finally had some time and space freed up at the same time in the shop this weekend. Through the 3200 spring and whoa, huge difference!! With nothing else done , beside some very inaccurate thread counting when putting the power screw in(turned in a bit more), we took it out and made close or right at 70psi of manifold pressure. It was dark and the truck was getting pretty loose so wasn't really looking at the gauges but EGTs weren't higher then 1200-1300* but I never saw what the primary was doing. Lift pump is certain now, as it really begins to lay down up top.

Next question. Does it take forever to get those pumps to bleed the air out of them? It had died on is about four times. We stop, bleed the lines, and it fires. It only seemed to do it after a hard run. Ill get it back out this weekend when I get home and see what it does, if I can keep the boots on it.

If you let off too quick you will air bind the injectors
