timing question

Postby andyheins » Wed Apr 08, 2015 4:10 pm

the front cover is leaking on my truck and im wanting to reseal it, and while i was in there i was going to jump a tooth on the pump. my question is that i already have the pump to the head so doing the tooth jump and having the pump to the head be to much timing for it? its my dd. 90 non i/c 5 speed

Just pull the pump away from the head and then advance as needed.

Don't forget the kdp while you are in there. Doesn't hurt to check the torque on the other bolts inside the case.
