First gen injectors

Postby A_port93 » Fri Dec 14, 2007 12:56 am

Alright i want to do this right the second time. I have PODs installed in my truck and I really want more and am not afraid to spend a little extra for a little cleaner power. fuel mileage went to sthi and I am wondering if the ddps are as good as their price suggests or if its smart to go with new era or have some custom made...
any experience or help is appreciated, austin

I'm not too sure on economy but the 435's light up real nice. A little haze at idle but ALOT less than the POD's I tried. They have 25% more flow than POD's and are edm's so they atomize fuel better. Mine came from NEW ERA DIESEL.

I am looking for power as well and wanted a set of 435s but I was wondering will a 62/14 with a 65 wheel take care of those injectors or will i need a big wheel like a 71?also what does one expect to give for some edms from new era?

I gave 400 no core second hand 3k miles on em. I think 550 with a 100 core you get back when they recieve your sticks.

i dont understand why everyone else has haze at idle with pods?

mine dont haxe at all (at idle...lol)

if you are taking pods out and looking for more power DO NOT use anything from ddp

you will be very disappointed

i know, they claim that their stg iv will make more power but it doesnt

compared to my pods they are just a little cleaner, a little smoother, and a lot smaller...anything else you need to know?

what type of power level are you looking for?

i notice you have a 62/65-14

that thing will support 500 with no problem so you dont have to worry about that

figure out where you are now, where you want to go (percentage wise), then go to the chart and see what size injectors will do it

ps - you already have the largest off the shelf injector

if you want more you have to go with custom's

Hope you dont mind me sticking my ? in here...

Will 435s do alright with my hx35 until I get my phatshaft62? I plan on doing the turbo soon, but would like to do headwork soon, so most likely the turbo would be put off til late spring. I do little to no towing in it right now btw.

Ive got about 2-3 turns on the pump and am about to be intercooled, so shouldnt have to turn it down. thanks.

ALSO...should I got with the 435s, or should I get some custom 6x.013s brewed up? Ill be running a PS62/65/12 or 14 for a while, and eventually building my own twins, and would like to buy one set of injectors to stick with.
