There really is no reason for an Airdog or FASS unless you are running gigantic injectors.
We use that piston pump kit you are referring to on virtually all of our ve builds. We've used them all the way up to 6x16 injectors, and 5x18 injectors. Lowest that has been reported back to us for inlet pressure is what I pull mine down to, which is about 6-8psi. My pump manages 200+psi of case pressure with the ksb activated..... meaning it is not going to benefit from increased fuel pressure.
The choice is really up to you. The highest 12mm fuel only was from our moderator, which did it on 12 psi of inlet pressure. Which he uses an electric pump (walbro? I believe).
