Ordering a 60mm upgrade

Postby rbrettctd » Tue Dec 18, 2007 11:04 am

For my hx to make it a 35/40 hybrid. Got a deal on it I couldnt refuse. Will I be able to cool some 6x.013s with it or should I stick with the 435s? I will be going compound within '08 so I want to stick to buying one set of injectors. Thanks.

If you KNOW you are going to twins, get the 6x13s.

I would still let boost and EGT determine whether I needed a bigger turbo or not. Lots of little things can be done to reduce EGT and smoke, without adding any more turbo.

Well I dont know for sure. And it will be a while if I do. Ill probably just do the 435s for now. I can always get some money back out of them and step up again...Id hate to have to limp this thing along for months and months until I get to do twins. I can afford the upgrade and its a great deal that I wont see again so Im thinking Ill get it...Its make a great small turbo if/when i do twins, not to mention keep me cool now. With it and the intercooler, I thinkIll be able to max my pump with the 435s...or am I wrong?

I think Im gonna take the advice of someone more knowledgable than me and skip the upgrade for right now and stick to injectors.

I think your stock injectors will make all the power your clutch and Getrag can handle, esp with a good turbo and an intercooler.

Sorry.... I meant stick to my PODs too. Im just gonna intercool it and play with the pump a little. I need to do head work and like you said up the clutch before I get bigger turbo and injectors. Thanks for the advice. BTW Daniel, is there a v-band clamp with that elbow or should I try to find one? Thanks again.

they are almost the same size

both are huge

i doubt you would notice much difference but i wouldnt run either w/o a 62/65 or bigger turbo
