RC do you think this would be a decent turbo for the price? would i see a big improvement over stock? how do you think it would spool on the truck in my sig?

I'm personally not a fan of the hx40 turbos. Stock injectors.......go with an he351cw, or even an hx35 will clean up stock sticks.

Mine is the same, just out of something newer, it has one of those longer inlets on the compressor housing with sensor ports. It works for me, but if I had to do it again, like RC said, get a 351cw or HX35. It's kinda laggy, but I'm able to have it spooled around 1700-1800 rpms.

How do you think the 351cw will do towing? Will it run hot? The heaviest I will tow is 14k and only occasionally not very often

It runs pretty good.

I tow 12k and at 38-40psi in 4th gear (getrag) i can accelerate up a good hill and not go over 1300F (stock injectors and pump turned up).

This is the hill i am talking about:

351cw is the coolest running turbo I have ever driven, towing.

Cool thank you for the info! I thought it would run hot because of the small exhaust housing! But if it runs cool sounds like a great turbo to run!!
