It's interesting that almost everyone in the 3rd and 4th gen sections refers to arp2000's as 425's

Yeah, 2000 is the old nomenclature I believe. EGT's are probably really hot. The one time I took it to the dragstrip I didn't get a chance to look, since my gauges are mounted down low on the dash. I think the turbine in the turbo is probably wasted, still makes good boost but spools pretty slow. Anyways, no h/g problems yet!

Nah, I'm just going to turn on the water from now on, hopefully that'll keep it from chewing itself up.

They're also not difficult at all to rebuild. An he351ve is a little more complicated, but the bearings are still just as easy to do

Haha not quite. None of my own have blown up. I rebuilt an ht60 in school this year (also rebuilt a jd 4045, a starter, an alternator, and an injector) and the he351 was from from an 08 that'd been dusted

Why are the P pumpers so leery about timing? It's like every P pump forum I read they shiver about anything more than 20* static timing? I know I know the FLOOD of fuel they can put out makes a world of difference, but a stock non IC motor sweeps from 14* to 20* right? Or are we VE vikings just fearless

How the fuel is injected has a huge factor in timing.

Is our injection duration longer because we don't see the pressures they do?
