5x12 THD injectors honed to 72lpm, BD pin, SuperB and s472, 3" piping and PS IC, Timing to the head, and manual trans. Lights around 1700 to 1900 rpm. Max EGT I've seen is 1350-1450 5th gear WOT getting it.

I did a paper on those diverter valves in a business class......it would be cool. Well, once I'm rollin out more than 175 rwhp that is.

- 12mm VE w/custom dynamic timing. Custom fuel-pin, Custom DVs. THD 5x.018 flowhoned to 7.2ltr/min (liquid) w/high pop-pressure.
- Real cold-air intake, Big IC, 3" plumbing, twinram feedhorn, ported head, 188/220 cam, 3-piece manifold.
- S362/14 over an HT3b (too small).

At 1800~2000RPM, the smoke goes away, and you get heavy in the seat.

Do you think a hp or 2 could be seen with removing it for a run?

From a cost standpoint, is a big single w/diverter up to par (probably just "close" to par) with twins? I know plumbing gets expensive with twins right?

I think on ve it would likely be just as good since there is only fuel for ~500hp. So a turbo that would normally be awful to drive would spool easily and have lots of top end air. Same concept as compounds. I think one of them 67.7 with a spool valve would be great. Or a 471 with a .9 t4 might be fun.

I wish I had one already but they're bloody expensive. $600+ seems normal.

How much machining fab would it take to make you think? Hard part being the boost referencing I guess?

I think the fmw 364.5/73/.91 T4 SXE would be a fun single with a spool valve for a ve. Same compressor exducer as the 63 wheel, 82 lbs/min. That's as much air as the old S366. New version of the 73/80 turbine wheel is mostly unclipped, and is supposed to spool better than the old clipped version. A little head porting, a mild cam, and a T4 manifold with a spool valve would probably spool as good, if not better than a S362 on a stock motor, imho. Or..the 369/73/?? Does close to 100 lbs/min, same compressor exducer as the S366 SXE. 8)

Would 400 + hp be needed to spool that setup?

From what I hear the new 80/74 turbine wheel is a lot better. I'm not sure the spool valve would even be needed with the 64sx-e. Though when you consider the s480 I run as a single on my 6.7, lag is something I don't really care about. I think when the new sx-e s400's start hitting the market I might pick up the 72, and 76 (the 72 apparently will outflow the current 476, so I'll try it on jaeger to see how it does as a single with the big displacement then see how it is as a primary on The Roo Hunter)
