Straight H2O

Postby spencerdiesel » Tue Dec 01, 2015 7:13 pm

I know straight water injection drops temps, but because of the lower temps, will any extra power be freed up? I've heard several people say no, and a few say maybe. Kinda like taking an HX35 to 400 hp then swappin on a bigger/better charger?

Also, what are some more budget friendly water/meth kits for our trucks. I know I get what I pay for, but still want to know the tried & true setups.

In theory power gains from straight water would be negligible. While cooler charge temps improve air density I'm not aware of it being significant enough for a noticeable power increase. Now when you add methanol that's when performance increases can be noticed. Though that is due to extra combustible material being added

Thank you. Anyone have numbers for mpg & how much water or WM is used under high fuel/boost?

I run two 625ml nozzles wide open when the big boost hits. I made 433rwhp with an HX35 on a 2nd Gen, so I would say an HX should be capable.
