I swapped in the 188/220 along with going to a .020 HG. I gained slower spool, higher egts, more smoke, more boost, and less power. I didn't degree the cam which everyone says should be done, because at the time I didn't know how and I didn't even know it needed to be done. Also the .020 HG has been indicated as a possible cause of my problems. I don't really know, one of these days I need to call Zach and see what he thinks.

hmm I gotcha, I have got a 182/214 sitting here on the floor, I bought it because of the rpm range it supports (up to 3500) which fits well with the ve fueling, they recommend using it with a 62mm or smaller charger. 14mm H/R and an an a1000 is in the books (need to try it for myself), so i'm curious about using the 182/214 with say a 66mm or larger charger.

182 will be fine.

Picking a cam and turbo are somewhat similar. What I mean by this is there is a balance in which rpm one will be using and also what horsepower one will be using. Which tq would be proper to determine..... as hp is a calculation from rpm and tq.

A low rpm engine (like a 14) should actually utilize things such as compounds, and a "smaller" cam than one would use in a p pump engine, which turns higher rpm.
