Sustained R's and VE health

In my opinion, factory governed speed of 2750 - 2850 can be held all day.
But what if (pick your incident: lost 5th, 727 etc) you needed to cruise at higher revs?

Would the VE live cruising at 3100-3200? I mean with adequate inlet pressure.
