Any thoughts or comments on their Lightning100015 12MM 4000RPM VE Pump?
RIP 91.5 W250 5 speed. The great experiment.
92 W250 HD 47RH with Compushift. Upgraded H1C to 62/60/16, Scheid Lightning VE, 60# valve springs, DAP 7X.010 injectors, 4" DE exhaust, home made cooler tubes.

They put out a decent amount of fuel, but they remove the dynamic timing of the pump, by pinning it.

I thought they only pinned the 14, they pin the 12 as well?

I got one and had it installed at a local performance diesel shop. Apparently mine isn't pinned. It came without a KSB, so I asked them about it. They said to transfer my old one over to it. Works as advertised. And yes, it does put out a decent amount of fuel. Better throttle response and less turbo lag, but I think that is because the old IP was in sad shape. Normal driving and cruise are no different looking at boost and EGT numbers. The difference comes in when you mash the peddle. I'll need to change my boost gauge and maybe add water injection.

They still put a ksb on it. However, how do you know your ksb is still changing timing?

Maybe they stopped doing all of them. I was told straight from them they do it on all maxed out pumps. Everyone I have personally seen is as well. What they do is not actually pin it, but they add so much shim that the piston can't really move.
