Battle of the VEs! Firepunk 2023

Postby JQmile » Fri Jul 21, 2023 3:53 am

Figured I'd start a thread on here since this is one of my old happy places :D Looks like the biggest gathering of 500+ hp VE trucks ever will be going down August 19th at Firepunk. A lot of folks are going for fuel only records, and a few are going to try and spray down the house and see if they can beat my 972rwhp. There's a lot of undynoed/unknown trucks coming too, which definitely adds some flavor. Anyone on here making the call? Let's hear about your setups!

Where do you find info about this event? This is the first I've heard of it.

Saw it on YouTube this morning, Eric (THD) and one other guy broke 700hp fuel only, thanks for making it known on here I wouldn’t have seen it otherwise!

Poor Jason lost his license plate but at least my old crew cab broke the thousand ft-lb mark single turbo 12mm pump and that was right after unhooking from my 9000lb 30ft gooseneck.

I was going to post the image from my dyno runs but I get the message board attachment quota has been reached. Oh well at least this resource for antiques still exists!

Holy smokes some crazy numbers being put down nowadays! I fired up the D250 last Sunday, first fire in 10 years and 2 months. Spun it by hand a few times, then hit the key, and it lit up instantly. Gotta love the VE. Hoping to get one of the trucks up and running next year, parked the 96 after a blown front seal in 2015. W250 is gone now.
