I think you'll find if you do some research on readily available gasser valves, maybe BB chevy, that with very little head work you'll have a whole catalog of valves available to you, at a much cheaper price than custom made.

maybe if you change the retainers and keepers too

but these cummins have a large...

ummmm

forget the type (what they call it) but the radius of the keeper groove is really big on the cummins valves

and they are 8mm stems

so, if you use a 5/16 it is gonna be a few thou loose

(and mine are already loose...lol)

guess if you are doin it money is not an object and you just replace everything

guides included

i am just gonna do the pockets, grind the seats, and throw mine back together

this head is for the ve motor, which even if it doesnt end up the tow motor, still is not going to be very radical

thnx for the suggestion but if i was to put larger valves in the head, i would prolly just cut down a 8mm manley

no reason for ti retainers n such on a motor that doesnt spin 5k rpm

imo

you could just put bronze lines in the head and run the smaller stem gasser valve

A smaller valve stem will also improve flow numbers, although very small gains, still a gain.

I am planning on looking into this quite extensively, not really for bigger valves, just more for better, Lower cost options as far as retainers and keepers go.

I also heard a rumor that a stock GM LS1 valve spring is a alternative to 60 lb valve springs, although I am not sure if my source was referring to 12 or 24 valve heads when he told me this.
