BHT3B vs S400

Postby MikeThomas » Tue Feb 26, 2008 12:29 am

Any opinions on the two? Im looking for a bottom turbo and have found a S400 with the 75mm cold side and the 1.32 A/R exhaust housing. Im not to sharp with paring up turbos for a twin setup, so would that be a good companion for Stage IV setup? My concern is the 1.32 A/R...how does this spec up to in cm..?

in my opinion the s400 is a better turbo it is more efficient . the 1.32 housing will spool a little slower than the 1.10 but what housing you want depnds on what your plans are for the truck and yes it would be a great turbo to add to your stage IV setup

You can buy at least two $400 HT3B's for the price of one S400 though, right?

Or at least 5 $150 ones from China.

s400s are around 600-700 for a new one depends on where you shop. and you would have to buy 4 or 5 of those ching ping turbos to last the same as one good one lol

i think you mike, and everyone else too, would benifit by stating the application when asking questions like these

what are you going to do with the truck?

how much fuel are you going to be throwing at it? (hp)

Um well its my driver...my all around everything truck. 5x16's will be the injector of choice, Just seems an a/r of 1.10 would be a better spooler with the current turbo as the top turbo as opposed to the a/r 1.32
