Starting modifications for D-350

Postby peobryant » Mon Jun 02, 2008 3:21 pm

I'm not sure if this is the right section but here we go anyways. I have a 1991.5 Intercooled Ram D-350 that is completley stock. I have been wanting to buy new injectors for it but decided that they can wait. I found a "4 inch exhaust with no muffler that I'm going to buy, and I have gauges and hopefully a gauge pod soon so I can install the gauges. I am also debating on whether or not to get the 3200 RPM spring, and I also want to get a new exhaust housing but can't decide on whether to get the 14cm housing or 16cm housing. It is an automatic (sadly) and the 21cm housing isn't making me too happy. Any input would be appreciated. Sorry for the long post, I'm new to these trucks (I'm only 16 years old) but want to learn a lot more, so anyways thanks again.

im not an expert like some of these guys but from what i've read...With the auto i would go with the 16cm houseing if your towing stuff with it still. if you dont mind watchin your egt gauge then go with the 14cm. Also i would go with the 3200 spring just cause. it wakes that motor right up. if you do just those 2 things you'll be impressed with it. (for a while at least) :thumleft: for more fuel just turn the pump up. i wouldnt spend money on injectors yet with just those mods. good luck and hope that helps.

If its an I/C truck you should have a 18.5 housing. The 16 will help and if you do a HX-35 upgrade you can use the 16 and 14 housing on it.

Ask questions and try and find a 1ST GEN guy in your area that can help you out its well worth the info you can gain if you find a guy or gal that has done this work hands on.
