Pete, that is just totally bizarre! I have been searching on the net for many months, typing every combination of search criteria I could imagine and NEVER SAW THIS WEBSITE! nobody ever told me about it before either.

THANKS!

The 4BTA 250 uses a seawater aftercooler. They also have had bad problems with their injectors...tips breaking off. Don't know exactly why, but it has been a problem I have been reading about fior a couple of years in boatdiesel.com.
I would probably opt for an aftermarket performance injector rather than a stocker...that might circumvent a problem.
Hope this helps....good luck.

Jimmie, the site is fairly new, 2 months at most. Glad I could help.
I also know where to get gauges reasonable. If you're interested, send me a PM.

Fits the owner to a T huh?

On edit; Is that her front, or his rear? On second thought, don't wanna know!
pete

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Yeah, butt....

I'm sure the Marine 4BTA in a land based vehicle would be starving for coolant using that setup with a radiator. I need to get the big parts list and see what is available that crosses with mine.

More I read on that new forum the more I want to be moderate in my buildup and GO SLOW at it. Towing is problem #1, but I want this engine to last the distance also! So I'll probably go low mid-range on performance, maybe 150-175 HP? Safer for a while. Cummins refused to give me info on my injectors other than '7mm' so I'll have to ask more questions somewhere. Thanks for the help, guys.

I have a source but I'll PM on the gauges, Pete, thanks!
