The most bang for the buck would be taking the lock ring off your fuel screw and turning it in, Just watch out for a runaway, oh and it's free! Some of the best money I spent on my truck was buying the 366 spring, it's around $20 dollars. You might be able to get some injectors for that price, witch should also make a big difference.

The cheapest injectors I know of are POD's. They go for $440 on puredieselpower.com

Their are two shops around hear that I know of. Source auto is in Milwaukee, witch isn't real close but they are real good. https://www.sourceautomotive.biz/index.php
Their is also another shop that is in the Vancouver area that I haven't bought anything from but they have been helpful when I have spoken to them on the phone, their called Vulcan performance http://www.vulcanperformance.com/servlet/StoreFront
Give them both a call, I don't know how much first gen knowledge Vulcan has but they are a lot closer. I believe Rip over at source is supposed to know a bit about first gen's.
