Good place to get 4" exhaust pipe?

Postby dpuckett » Sat Nov 08, 2008 8:07 am

I need to buy some 4" pipe pieces, and the local semi shops around here want $30-40 per elbow. I was wondering if anyone knew where to get some 4 (or even5") aluminized pipe at a better price? For right now, I just want to go around the t-case and over the axle. The stacks gotta go, as they just wont quite cut it with the topper on there.

I had sticker shock when I got the pieces for my 4" DP - $70 something for an elbow and three feet of pipe!

That's just the way it goes with this economy right now. Good luck.

I went to the local semi junk yard and bought a truck bed full of pipe, V band clamps, intercooler boots, constant torque clamps, and 2 chrome stacks for $60. It's more than they'll get for it to scrap it and most of it was near new condition. Just had to dig through the pile.

I have had good luck with these guys. Price is good, shipping is fast.

You can pretty much custom order any bend you want.

No connection to them, just a satisfied customer.

think he means airlow systems inc.

but you are not going to find mandrel bent elbows and 90's for much less than you quoted

the stuffs expensive, period

you are almost better off buying a complete system and cutting it up if you have to

thats how i did my '97

Air Flow Systems web address is http://www.airflo.com/. I'll second them, I've bought stuff from them and found them good to deal with. I agree with Don, you aren't going to find the parts for much cheaper than the prices you were quoted unless you scrounge them from a semi-truck recycler.

I may well scrounge a big rig boneyard later down the road. For now, I'm taking a used take off from an early 3rdGen for a tailpipe. It's 3-1/2in, which is better than the almost 3" stock.
