HX35W 12CM GOT ????

Postby TOMTOM » Mon Feb 05, 2007 6:50 pm

Got complete 97 engine friday kdp killed it. Will I see any gains frome swaping this turbo or exhaust housing on to my 93? It has a 12 cm wg ex housing. I am looking for more power. Am I better off with my 18cm housing?

ive never ran a 18 cm, but have ran a 14 and a 12, and i like the 12. turbo spools up quick and the power is right there. just have to watch the pyro on hills and skinny pedal mashes.

If you don't mind the 18's lag run it, it will have beter top end flow. If you wont better spoolup go with the 12 and watch the pyro and set the wastegate to protect it.

The HX35 body itself would be a slight upgrade from your H1C, though. I'd take it and put it with the 18cm housing (maybe do some porting while it is all off) on the truck. Put the 12cm housing on the H1C and sell it, or keep it for a spare.
