Rebuilding my S300G

Hi all,

I am undecided if I should by a new Super B or rebuild an old s300 I have. I have 2 s300 to rebuild that have been sitting in the garage for a while. I also have 2 ht3b's that I have to rebuild. I am curious as to what you guys would suggest. I had plans of rebuilding the turbos for a twin set up, but feel that for my daily drive I would want just a s300 or a super B.

I figured the twin set up would be for a pulling truck in the future. Will the s300 light up as fast as a Super B?

The truck has a few mods to it: Full screw in 2.25 turns, minor adjustment on starwheel and smokescrew, bump timing 1/8, 97 Cummins all aluminum intercooler, Gen 2 lift pump regulated to 20 psi and 6x16 new era injectors. Head studs and HD head gasket is next also.

bang for the buck id rebuild one of the turbos you that you already have.i ran the stocker to death and just got my industrial injection super 62 phat shaft turbo on today and man i could tell a big diffrence in the work truck.but id think rebiuld one and be good to go for a daily driver,do you know what sizes the ones you got are?

6X.016's are huge. You're going to need at least a 62/71/14 for those.

I would say the s300 will light just as quick as the B. I got one on my 96 dually and its pretty d n laggy! There sure hasnt been any porting done on switzers or BD's end. I looked in my ex housing flange and there was 1/4 in of metal you can remove

A super B is a S300.

BD said when I ordered mine that the changed the compressor wheel for faster spool up. (BS)

The Super B turbo is a S300G. It is a 57/65/14 wastegated turbo with extended tip compressor wheel. This allows it to flow like a 60mm wheel but spool faster. This turbo will spool hard to 45psi, I loved mine.

How do you like your bd special?

Would the s300g be a good secondary turgo with a ht3b or should I not go with twins? I personally would prefer to run singles, is there a compressor upgrade I should get for the s300?

I called in the serial numbers on my s300g and it is a 63.5/74/14 without extended tips.
I pulled it apart to take measurements and I came back with 63.75/73.91
Also the back of the compressor wheel is part number 168728. Anyone know the size of this wheel?
Will my daily driver/work truck be able to light this? Should I get my injectors 6x.016's or 6x.018's?

This turbo is going on the truck in my sig along with the new era's. Last two things to be done to the truck. Everything else is installed.
