I upgraded to the PDR 58mm comp wheel and it did nothing for me. So, I them upgraded to the HTT stage III Hi-Flow 60 and it did nothing. I see 1500° easily with inner pump modifications/ 12mm hydraulic head/POD injectors and modified intake/exhaust manifold/full four inch exhaust etc.etc.

Greenleaf put a 40 on there that will help the egt's. I went from 1500 to 1300 on my trailer puller going from the 18cm h1c to the 16cm hx40, and it doesnt have any more lag.

Thanks. I do appreciate your insite. I am, or was, under the assumption that becasue the 35/40 share the same turbine and shaft that I do, now have, a full 40 with the upgrade to the hi-flow/machine-cut 60mm comp wheel.....

I don't tow so the really high EGT's don't hinder me unless I perform a full-out run on the Interstate  Would like to lower the temps a bit. I'm not too excited about reworking the air to air with a bigger Ford unit. I seem to enjoy holding down my recliner more than I used to.

I may get excited and install a smaller turbine housing to see if the faster turbine speed will move more air....... I use the 21cm now.

That is incorrect. A typical hx35 has a 57mm exducer turbine, the Hx40 is 65mm exducer. The bigger wheel of the 40 slows it down a bit because of the extra weight and rotational inertia. It does however make more turbine power, so it can make the same boost with less back pressure so it runs cooler. Compared to your 21cm hsg I think you might actually notice an improvment in driveability(less lag) with the 16cm Hx40. The trick is to find a super 40 as they run 50-100deg cooler than a regular 40 because of better wheel designs.
