good question

i'd like to know if I need new clutches too. I have the converter, but nothing else. I'm going to probably ask the tranny shop guy when he installs my converter, just to see what he says...

If you are droping the trans to replace the converter. Rebuild the trans while it is out. If that trans dies a short time later you will need another converter for the rebuild.

Clutches, steels, bands, and planetary would be the minimum I would replace if it were out. And no rabestous, go red with kolenes or go home!
