I think it would be ok. I have it on my gas car, and a friend has it on his cummins truck for about 4 months now with no problems.

I ran hydraulic hose from my tank to my lift pump. It passed a materials compatability cross-reference at the time.

The good thing about it is that it is bulletproof, will never ever get sucked shut or be overpressureized and is cheap.

The bad thing about it is that, after you stick in a hose barb, it ain't coming out without a hack saw. To that end I'd recommend either crimped-on fittings or those re-useable thread-in hydraulic fittings.

I have a big pile of fittings at home and a floor mounted hydrolic crimper at work. (with dies up to 4" )

Another thing to keep in mind with hydraulic hose is that the steel mesh in it is an effective electrical conduit; when I ran my hose it grounded the fuel sender to the lift pump, which disabled the fuel level gauge. I had to put a little bit of non-reinforced rubbery line in between the lift pump and hydraulic hose, which lead to the experience with the hacksaw.
