Yet another 3200 spring question

Postby Farmboy » Fri Jul 17, 2009 10:37 am

Sorry guys.... but I was looking for a thead that had a write-up on step by step directions on how to install the 3200 spring. I searched but could not find it. I know I have seen it thought, but where??? Also am I going to need to buy a gasket set or something to do this? If so where do I get that?

Again sorry, it seems like every other day someone is asking about this spring but I can't find the answers I am looking for.

The parts and some more instructs are listed in BC's excellent DTR sticky:

The second link is for piston lift pump install. Did I miss something in that thread or is it the wrong link? I looked further into the sticky and found the link for the spring install it just took me to the first link. (great link but no parts info)

If you have never been into the pump, or it hasnt been rebuilt in the last 2 years, I'd recommend a seal kit. DGK121- ~$20. I have a couple extra top-to-case seals if you'd like just that.

If I re-seal the pump top would I have to disassemble it any further than what I have to for the spring install? If so I migh be interested in the top seal.
