Expandit Exhaust

Will the expandit exhaust fit on a d250 2 wheel drive without major modifications? I'm looking for a somewhat cheap 4" straight pipe exhaust. If anyone has built a custom system could you get me part numbers. I'm debating whether it would be easier to buy a 3" down pipe and have a shop weld together the rest or buy a complete kit. The stans headers kit is nice but a little pricey. Thanks in advance.

If you make sure the people you are buying it from know you have a 2wd truck, then it should fit with no problems at all. I know a lot of people opted to go for the cheaper Expandit systems rather than the Stan's or Rip's, and have no complaints.

If you have the stock H1C, there is no point in having a 4" downpipe, as the turbo outlet is only 3". If you step up turbo sizes, that's when you will need the 4" downpipe.

I've had my expandit for a while now. I think its a good quality product. Mine went together with out any problems and just as easy as the stans kit we put on a buddies truck for half the price. I agree on teh fact that with a stock turbo teh 3" downpipe is fine. When you step up to a "real" turbo with a 4" outlet its very easy to make a 2nd gen downpipe fit.

Do remember though that the exhaust does not have hangers. Its stupid easy to make some though. If you look through my thread I posted you can see how I did it. And even though teh kits say 90-93 mine went on my 89 with no problems at all! And make sure you tell him Bobby sent you!
