6 hole injectors

Postby darestie » Wed Nov 04, 2009 10:34 am

I have an intercooled 93 cummins with the horrible 6X.009 injectors. My pump is stock except for a fuel pin. I need an injector that gives me some nice performance but I could do without excess smoke and would like to increase mpg. I was looking at the bosch 190's but I was thinking about maybe staying with a 6 hole injector. Does anyone make a 6X.011 injector, or do I have to go custom?

You'll have to go custom. You can get some companies to hone your stockers to the size of your choice. I've though about going to 6X.012's quite a few times.

Do you think a diesel injection shop can rebuild and bore my stockers?

A set of 190's will give you more power and keep your mileage respectable.
Any pump shop can rebuild your stockers, but most can't hone them out. It needs to be done by a specialty shop, Sheids, New Era, or one like that.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
