When is a BOV needed?

Postby Fnschlaud4620 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 8:52 am

I was wondering if a blow off valve is needed with compounded turbos?

I have heard that you can snap the shaft on turbos when you let off the gas pedel too fast, I also know that without a throttle plate you can't use a normal vac operated BOV? or is there a way to do this? I heard that you have to use switches on the throttle?

Can someone fill me in.

Thanks

I would like to know some options for this too. I realize our MWE slots mostly take care of the probem but a BOV would be nice

I dont have MWE slots in my H1E, Think this is a problem?

If I have to, I suppose that I will have to put it on the lathe and make some.
