best overall setup?

Postby clubcustoms » Wed Nov 25, 2009 8:27 pm

I could use some help guys. I have a non-intrecooled 1990 5 spd 4x4 w350 that I have done the pump adjustments on and have a 4 inch exhaust. From what I've read on here I'm almost set on a 12cm housing on my stock H1c. Im wondering though, If I uprade my injectors will my EGT's get too high towing. What injectors would give me a good gain without going crazy? This is a flatbed one ton, so it gets used hard. I plow snow with it all winter and tow trailers all summer. Would a 14cm and 370's be a good setup on a 5 speed? Any advise would be great! Thanks!

In my opinion any injector over stock will be too much for egt's on a stock turbo and no IC if your pump is tweaked.

I can't even keep the stock non i/c injectors cool with a S300 turbo, powerstroke intercooler, 4 inch exhaust and advanced timing. You don't need a injector upgrade until you get lots of other stuff first.

I plan on doing a powerstroke intercooler, what turbo would be a better choice than upgrading my H1c....an s300 or hx40 ? Would one be easier to do the IC install with than the other? I just want a dependable but STRONG puller...
