Hey Bill, that "silly" intercooler is one of two on the truck and it works and works well, NUFF said!!!!
Bill, I am looking for "constructive" suggestions from people like yourself who might know from experience what to look for, to seek out whatever issue may be happening, not condemnation of my setup, nor scoffing at my workin my way up one step at a time.
Bill, I would also love to jump into edms except one leetle problemo, nobody has yet offered an answer to my question of what size? KTA may have a set that works, but if they are 6 x 18 as I suspect and at $1300, they are $600 more than a couple of our people have already offered to have made for me. I can get 435's for less than $500 and any of 6 x 12 6 x 14 and 6 x18 for $700. i just wanna know what would be the best all around injector. Until then i am stuck usin my stock stix.
So back to my issues at hand
When runnin just the hx 35 it is runnin through the air to air intercooler only, which is the factory Dodge item for that turbocharger.
The drive pressure is 40 psi and the boost on the hx35 by itself is 18-19 psi, no matter what I do with the wastegate. Matter of fact turnin up the wastegate cranks the drive pressure to 50+ psi
To be honest I am beginning to suspect the 35 turbo itself, although it does really scream/sing at 18 lbs.
Unless I have missed something there are no leaks. I am open to suggestions on how to find said alleged leak other than the air pressure test I already did.
And with the hx 55 hooked up the drive pressure is still 40 psi, but boost is now 33 psi or very close to 1-1
KTA - thanx for the examples, but 370's are not stock injectors, nor is the 40 a stock turbo. If i recall you have said the non ic injectors also flow a lot more fuel than ic injectors, so we are still not talkin apples n apples.
Now back to my base question - with the hx35 and " stock ic injectors", what issue am i lookin for "other" than a leak that would cause excessively high egts "and" low boost. Cuz the egts were still climbin when i let out of it cuz i dont know how high is too dangerous.
