I've owned the "War Wagon" a '92 350 4x4 since '95. Have allways had the fuel screw turned in pretty far but lately wanted to try some pulling in the stock class. Hood Stack, AFC lever gone, fuel screw maxed, throttle indexed and 354 spring(clipped 2 coils). Oh my, this thing is wicked. I've never heard of way past 30lbs on a stock 21cm turbo. I dont think my clutch will last though. I dont have anything for the chipped Duramaxes but I'm gonna have some fun and be the only one rollin' coal through the hood!

How did you spool that thing?!?!?!

I cannot wait till I get 2 stock steels to put on some Goodyear MT's for some 2wd pulls!

I'm not sure, but I have some ideas. First I'm fortunate to have a pump that allows the fuel screw all the way to the o-ring with no hint of runaway. Next it's a 1 ton which I think has a different compressor, not completely sure. Lastly that 5" hood stack has zero back-pressure. I'm guessing all this contributes to 35lbs out of a stock 21cm turbo. I have a 4200 rpm spring but it only carries that high boost from about 1700-2000 or so. O, and it puts a flame out the stack at night way cool. Lots of smiles for me!

I cant even get a picture to load, says the files are "too large" But yes video of the flame would be cool!

If you can turn the fuel screw all the way in and it dosent run away then that means you need a longer screw. Mine was the same way I added about 3/16" of weld on the end shaped it with a grinder then I found the runaway. You will get a bit more fuel if you do this.

if i remember correctly you can also purchase a longer screw from bosch or cummins that does the same thing, a few ppl are lucky enough to not have runaway and have done this to get more fuel.

Pull was disappointing, clutch slipped, but at least my truck came back home in one piece and is still usable.

A lot has happened since I last posted. I pulled the truck 6 times finishing 2nd to last at every pull, which was my goal for the first year. Post season brought POD's and a 60mm compressor(still stock 21cm exhaust), which netted me 379/848 on the dyno. That was the "well enough" I couldnt leave alone. Next came studs, valve springs, 14mm h/r, A1000, and 6x.016 Buddhas. I guess thats it. That netted me a siezed VE. A new VE from a very low hp application(2mm camplate and a less that optimal fulcrum lever) with another 14mm added gave me a disapointing 293/732 with no power above 2000 rpm's. I found a used 2.8 camplate, put it in, maxed the fuel and now have 50psi boost, a strong pull, and very hot egt's. Gonna check the dynamic timing, and dyno it again 7 May, hoping for a solid 400hp.

I never figured a just a 60mm compressor could do 380 HP or that the shaft hasn't broken at 50 psi. Hope you get it dialed in and ready to pull.
