dynoed today very pleased with 454hp 1080tq. However, on the way home my brand new super 40 made the ultimate sacrifice. No boost and a lot of howling ;(
'03 2500: utility body stock; '92 350 flatbed: maxed fuel, 354 spring, 6x.016's, 14mm H/R, 2.8plate, studs, springs, A1000 5/8 line, Super40 = 454hp 1080tq all fuel. Have added S3 66/74/.91, O-rings, home port job, Steedspeed t-4 manifold. Hp=437/857 :( 13mm P, 5x.025, he551+ht80 843hp 1thousand something trq. Broken 5th gear.

My cobbled together turbo got me 11th of 16 at the pull. Just ordered an S300 to replace my less than 1000 mile super 40, (I guess 40's dont like 2100degre 48lb dyno runs) EEEEW that hurt!

put the H1 back on to comply with class rules, took some timing out, and Praise God, got me a 3rd of 14 @ 271'!!!! It feels strong, I may dyno just to see.

6th of 10 in an exhibition class last night with the s3 and new 285 bfg's. Had to back up and pull 2nd gear (little too much bite) too many rpm's and egt. Gotta get it out of the hole in 3rd.

Do you have the 14mm pump or still running the 12mm.

Pulled in Mont Alto, PA. Pulled in a "Hot Stock" class due to my t-4 flanged s3. The .91 non gated housing realy runs strong. My .7 WGated housing was fried. The War Wagon is doing respectable against trucks with way more power.

Pulled last night at Two Tops, PA. Going good until the rear driveshaft let go at the 280 foot line, still got me a 7th 0f 16 and drove it 50 miles home in front wheel drive(withbusted cv joint). Love that old piece of junk ;)

motorwood wrote:A lot has happened since I last posted. I pulled the truck 6 times finishing 2nd to last at every pull, which was my goal for the first year. Post season brought POD's and a 60mm compressor(still stock 21cm exhaust), which netted me 379/848 on the dyno. That was the "well enough" I couldnt leave alone. Next came studs, valve springs, 14mm h/r, A1000, and 6x.016 Buddhas. I guess thats it. That netted me a siezed VE. A new VE from a very low hp application(2mm camplate and a less that optimal fulcrum lever) with another 14mm added gave me a disapointing 293/732 with no power above 2000 rpm's. I found a used 2.8 camplate, put it in, maxed the fuel and now have 50psi boost, a strong pull, and very hot egt's. Gonna check the dynamic timing, and dyno it again 7 May, hoping for a solid 400hp.

I figured I would leverage this quote to let people see how far you've come....the fact that you're goal has changed from second to last to running with the top contenders at every pull should show people how much you've actually been able to gain through testing, tuning, and the 14mm.....congrats man! :D
