I guess that depends on your definition of "muscle car." If it's not doing 13s or better with a normally aspirated American V8, then it ain't a muscle car in my book. Not many Dodge Cummins pickups can make that claim.

yep, any true musclecar (intermidiate body, big block engine) from the mid 60's to early 70's is a 13 sec car with todays tires. don't let those mid 14 sec time slips from the late 60's fool you. try hooking your truck up on g70 bias plys   .

now, back to the subject at hand. i'm modding the wife's ride (finally!!) and have some pod's i bought earlier. will the edm's make enough of a power difference to make it worth selling the pod's and installing the edm's? i'm shooting for 350 hp on #2 and more with h2o/meth. and if so, anyone wanna buy some new in the box piers pod's?

G70's? I was running 60's on my '69 Chevelle 'vertible, and toasted them all the time! Of course, with a BB 396, 4 speed, and 4.88's, what do you expect?
The guy I got it from had it since high school, it was a consistant class winner at the local strip. Once he had 9 or 10 inch slicks on it, broke the wheel studs clean off!

So small block Mustangs aren't muscle cars?

I'd classify them as muscle cars, I guess "Pony Cars" would be more accurate, though...

How are those 370's? Do you wish you had stepped up to the 435's?

I like the 370's really clean running on my setup but knowing what I know now I would have bought the 435's. I took the 370's apart and sent the tips to extrude hone to work there magic. I had them do a 45% increase on them. They put out a lot more fuel now. I'm going to dyno in August and see if I gained anything.

Did you like the 370's ? I'm wanting them for towing, With the stock hx-35 and a 16cm non wg I feel they would match up quit well. What do you think? That should get me to 300 with more pump and timing adjustments

I thought that 370's were good for a bit less than POD's? In the 370-400 HP area?

From what I was told at newera almost double POD's 52 rwhp as the EDM's 370's are around (if I heard correct) I think were in the 85 rwhp range with better spray pattern

I liked the 370's. I dyno'd 301hp/538tq with them. Egt's were never a problem with them. I think I barely hit 1300 on the dyno. That was with a stage3 and 18.5 exhaust housing. They were verrrryyy clean running little to no smoke anytime.
