Nebraska to East Tennessee in 2-3 weeks.

Postby Mark Nixon » Fri Feb 15, 2013 8:54 pm

Bought a roller 1992 Dodge 1 ton Dually truck body in Eastern Tennessee.
Will be using my old wedgebed to go get it and I'll have 20 foot of deck available, plus enough extra storage for a tranny, transfer case, possibly an engine.

The actual route has yet to be determined, but could be varied as needed, but stands at the most direct route.

Look at my ads, I may have something heavy and bulky that you'd want and I'll bring it along for FREE.
NOTHING is out of the question.

You could be a part of my hidden agenda.
I'm really wanting to cruise the ol' hauler again, it just rolls along when it's right, large and menacing. :D

I need a few things if you pass threw up this way. I know i need a passenger side front fender, possibly a passenger door and could use a rust and dent free short bed if you happened to know of one.

I definitely have the fender and door.
The only short bed I have is a step side from an '85 that I had considered putting on one of my Dakotas.
But even that is available. :D
On my CA trip I saw a couple of wide shorties, of course I had no room. :(

Pm me a price on the bed, fender and a good door. I have the insides to make a manual door power if need be. Picture pf the bed would be cool to if you could get one.

I'm putting it together before it's for sale.
I just might like it and keep it.

Jon, you missed out on it. It's been for sale for I think about a year lol. Mark I already requested some good 23 spline 205's so you know about that. I'd have you haul out one of those 70's trucks, but I need to look at them in person first.

Bill, that sounds like my day, 3 hour drive (1 way) to drop off 2 bellhousings, because one guy HAD to have it TODAY and acted pretty rude about it when I got there.
The other guy was just happy to have found one reasonably priced.

I wasted the whole day chasing that goose down, just to waste a wheel bearing (Possibly a spindle) on the Dakota 6 miles from home.
I was supposed to run over to Michael's and drop off control arms to-morrow, so now it'll be a mad dash to yank the rotor to make sure it didn't destroy a spindle run 20 miles to U-Pull-It, grab a rotor (possibly a spindle) and put it all back on, then get to Michael's by mid-afternoon.

Good thing I'm thinking it'll take 2-3 weeks to prepare for this trip, because at this rate IT WILL!!!
