In high school, our 189 lb wrestler did that. He called it the black mamba  He was a legend then and now he's 3 years out of high school, didn't graduate, has at least one kid, and had several scrapes with the law

It sounds gay, but hey, it fits in the thread

What have you bastards done to my thread?!? I posted a legitimate review of a performance mod and a blueprint of another work in rogress and all I get out of it is Dazed's Black Mamba?

I'll never post another actual update in here again.

You've got me rethinking my crossover now, Dazed. I don't need people like Hineman hanging around my truck everytime I pop my hood.

I'm hoping that crossover will not only work with this turbo, but I can also hack off the excess straight on the turbo end and weld on a 2.5-3" and just use a straight coupler to connect it when my other turbo gets back and the twins go back in.

Ehhh, not really. He said he'd check on it for me. I finally got some info on the shop, apparently they normally work on aviation stuff and only do diesel stuff on the side. Doesn't bode well on my project but it's whatever. I do kinda wish the dude had picked a different shop but if I had just sent it all in the very first time this wouldn't have happened.

Like I said, it's whatever... I did order a new head unit, since it just chewed up the factory I crawled a junkyard for 3 hours to find. Dunno why this thing eats head units like it does. :?

There's only been 3 of them since you started, why worry about it now?

I was kind of testing the waters to see what would happen if I did start posting actual updates. :P

I put a head uni- errr, receiver in the old girl tonight. Picked up a "digital media receiver" and threw it in there. Pretty cool deal, it's nice to charge my phone without having the ashtray hitting my shifter every time I hit third.

It was a pretty interesting install, complete with the typical 1stgen fireworks show anytime a wire is involved.

*rose tinted glasses off*

I will say that you notice the 1st-2nd slop a lot more after a couple days of driving. It's not horrible, but I'm starting to take off in 2nd in public so I don't sound so stupid. It doesn't do it at all going from 2nd to 3rd, even under the same circumstances. 1st must just put just enough torque on it to engage it. You also do notice it messing around on onramps. It doesn't change the direction of the truck, but if you kind of lean into the turn, then give the truck some throttle you'll find yourself leaning over a bit farther as the truck's momentum changes a bit. The engine is too heavy to let the fronted change course, but it's noticeable if you're not ready for it.

*back on*
Awwwwwwwww yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaah. You really can't tell, but what I climbed is damn near vertical. It's just about the same height as the tire, and if I had slipped the clutch a bit more (like last time) it wouldn't have even spun a tire. Seriously, this truck wouldn't have been able to do this in 4wd before, and it walked right up it with that locker. What have I been missing all these years?!?
