Awwwwww yeah. 8)

I remember promising some shameful pics of the crossover I made before this one, just to get it on the road. I'm not proud of this, and as a disclaimer I'd like to say it was made at the end of a very rough day at work and my patience shattered like Hineman's heart when that guy said no at the gay bar.

We got a new MIG, I couldn't get the gas to work, it was late, I was pissed, my truck was my only way home and I refused to run it again "N/A", I was extremely pissed, and holy sthi was I pissed. This is why you don't fab on a bad attitude:

New crossover on left. I may actually burr it out some more one of these days, it's still got plenty of room. I'll probably just run it until I get my twins back together though, I figure I'll be shortening this end up to make room for the 3" adapter.

The fan relay showed up from http://www.dccontrol.com/. This thing is legit! I expected it to be for $70, but even at that it's nicer than I expected. I've always hated to buy stuff I could make, but there's no way I could make a relay setup this nice.

I got the single fan controller as I intend to hook the other one up to a button/switch in the cab.

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.... $70 for a board that you can't change the relays on if they crap out?

It's true, relays are the Powerstroke of electrical components, they always work.

More reports on the no-spin. He wasn't kidding about them not liking wet pavement. I assume the surface has the perfect storm of just enough traction to make the truck move but not enough traction for the pin to be able to push the halves apart correctly. I came out of an intersection sideways the other day on some wet pavement. It got about halfway through its walk and just completely unlocked. It's never done that before, ever.

It apparently didn't break because its still working, but I won't be messing around in the rain anymore. :?

So I could play in the rain? No, only weenie flatbeds need wet pavement to play. :P

I mostly got it because my truck was literally worthless once off the pavement. Even in people's yards I had to get out and out it in 4x4 before I could attempt to move. I honestly have only put it in 4wd one time since I got the locker, and that was to go out on an actual trail behind the house. I probably wouldn't have needed it there either, but I tried to climb some big hill and backed into a 2ft ditch I couldn't see. It didn't make the hill, but it idles right out of the ditch. 8)

I was only talking about Hineman but it is rather suspicious how well you fit in there. :P

Got my fan controller hooked up today. Apparently I must have a pretty cold thermostat because that thing is supposed to kick on at ~185 at it's factory setting and it was just creeping over the 2nd line into the middle section of the gauge. My truck has never ran that hot before, so I cranked the potentiometer about 5 turns and on it came.

I'm just glad it works.
