My 84 d150 project

Postby 84dragtruck » Thu Dec 06, 2012 11:35 am

This is the start of my new drag truck. Its a 1984 d150 regular cab long bed thats getting back halfed and four linked with a sheetmetal
rear end and tubed for 34.5" tall 23" wide drag slicks. Getting a full 7.50 certified cahssis.

In this pic you can see the remaining front half of the stock frame has been boxed in for strength.

Here you can see the fitting and placement for the 06 common rail power plant that will be going in it.

In this pic we just messured out to get a rough idea where the rear end would be now that its going to be a short bed vs the long bed that it was.

Few reasons for cr engine. Tunablility and all out power. Runing the chassis shop hopes for 3500lbs or less.

Looks like a cool project. If you just copy the image code and post it like you did those the pic will show in the thread.
